Dr. Blanton and his family have been dedicated to healthcare for generations. The Blanton Memorial Health Unit in Springhill is named in honor of his uncle. His partner in medicine is his cousin, Dr. Scott Robertson. Therefore, it is not surprising that he chose a career in medicine and, following his residency, returned to Louisiana to live and practice here in 1998.
His original interest lay in general surgery, and he brings those skills to his practice of obstetrics and gynecology. He offers a broad base of expertise to each patient, including minimally invasive surgical techniques highlighting pelvic reconstruction and incontinence procedures.
